Road Trip ends with Kodiaks Win
The Kodiaks travelled to Essex yesterday to take on Chelmsford Pythons and came away with our first ever points on the road with an 11-0 win at the Riverside.
5 goals from Christina Ashley, a brace from Josie Milton and goals from Joa Hoshizaki, Saara Karvonen, Clare Ledbury, with a first Kodiaks goal for Ellie Goldstone rounded up the victory.
Cheyenne Overgaard stopped 15 shots before handing the pipes over to Stella Lemin for her debut against her old club.
The result leaves the Kodiaks top of the league for the first time.

About Us
The first ever Cambridge Women’s ice hockey team
The Cambridge Kodiaks are the first ever women’s ice hockey team in Cambridge based at the Cambridge Ice Arena on Newmarket Road. We are also the first ever Cambridge City team to be playing in the EIHA (English Ice Hockey Association) league. The team was founded by George Alley, Kirsty Bard and Tracy Nichols.
Ice hockey is a very male dominated sport and we are working as hard as we can to change this outlook on ice hockey. We want to empower women to take part in sport and play one of the fastest paced game in the world.
Ready to be a Part of Kodiak History?
This is a historic moment for Cambridge City and women’s sports and we would love you to be part of making history. Ice hockey is a male dominated sport and we are working hard to change that. We want to empower women to take part in sport and play one of the fastest paced games in the world.
But we need your help to do it.
We have a number of volunteer positions and sponsorship options that provide plenty of opportunities to get involved and help make Kodiak history. As the first Cambridge Senior team we are also looking to be highly involved in the community and give back to those around us. If you’re a member of a charity or group that is looking for volunteers and would like to have the Kodiaks involved please reach out.
